Frequently Asked Questions

Why does FLUID avoid the use of cookies?2020-08-21T20:16:04-04:00

Cookies are another method used to target digital devices. Unfortunately, this method is barely 60% effective at best. Furthermore, 55% of all cookie digital marketing is never seen by real people. Web crawlers, malware, and click farms make up over 45% of cookie targets. This means that 40% of what you spend on cookie-based digital marketing campaigns is wasted.

Where will my ads appear?2020-08-21T20:22:43-04:00

FLUID places ads on over 1 billion websites. Our ad placements are on approximately 90% of the daily available ad inventory online. FLUID ad placements are on popular sites that include but are not limited to: Weather Channel, ESPN, YouTube, and CNN.

What types of ads can I place and what would that look like?2021-01-08T01:37:24-05:00

Banner:

Banner creative artwork should be within the following dimensions (below).  We recommend that clients provide at least one design in each size to maximize available ad inventory. While we can run campaigns with fewer sizes, it limits the inventory available and may result in the campaign taking longer to serve.

  • 300×250 (pixels)
  • 728×90 (pixels)
  • 320×50 (pixels)
  • 160×600 (pixels)
  • 300×50 (pixels)

Video:

Video has to be less than or equal to requested duration (i.e. we can bid on a 15-second request with a 10-second video.)

  • The standard durations available via our system are as: 15-second, 30-second, 60-second
  • Standard video sizes are as follows: 400×225 400×300      480×360     640×360     1920×800
  • Options include: Pre-Roll (This represents majority of inventory), Mid-Roll and Post-Roll
  • Additionally, Google only supports: 480×360, 640×360, and 1920×800. If FLUID is hosting the video, we will automatically encode any 400×225 and 400×300 video ads to fit Google’s size requirements by adding letter boxes.
  • Companion ads are supported, but only standard image files are accepted.
  • Flash files are not supported
What sort of CTR should I expect?2021-01-04T21:10:50-05:00

Industry standard click-through-rate (CTR) for display advertising is currently around .06%. FLUID’s CTR is approximately double the industry standard. FLUID encourages clients to look beyond CTR and focus on metrics like successful conversions, sales and return on investment (ROI).

What kind of reports will I get from FLUID?2020-08-21T20:24:26-04:00

At FLUID we are completely transparent. Upon conclusion of the initial campaign, we will request a copy of the new customer’s data to prepare an ROI analysis report detailing the conversions.

What is FLUID’s better way of marketing?2021-01-07T23:08:29-05:00

Both AppNexus and Brightool Ad Exchanges utilizing a patented bidding system that allows us to bid and evaluate placement options almost 10X faster than most other DSPs.

Is IP Targeting Legal?2020-08-21T20:20:07-04:00

How is FLUID different?2020-08-21T20:15:36-04:00

FLUID’s Patented Technology uses algorithms to analyze each IP address to cross reference it with over 30 online- and offline-databases and with more than 10,000 public data elements to identify real people. FLUID’s process has 0% Digital Fraud and is 100% Cookie Free.

How is FLUID different from Pay-Per-Click (PPC)?2020-08-21T20:23:13-04:00

Through Pay-Per-Click advertising you only pay when the prospect clicks on the ad. As online fraud and bot traffic have taken over 30% of traffic and clicks on the web, PPC has lost its reputation and marketing efficacy.

At FLUID, we only display ads on targeted devices of customers who have shown interest in your company.

How does FLUID’s capturing technology differ from Geo-Fencing?2020-09-11T18:53:08-04:00

  • Doesn’t require someone to opt-in.
  • Uses latitude-longitude and able to target down to the meter squared level.
  • Household IP Address can be collected from the inventoried Device ID’s so we can use Household IP Targeting, Out of Home, and/or ECHO.
  • Use in real time or target the Device ID’s that were inventoried at past areas up to 7 months ago.

Geo-Fencing

  • Requires someone to have location services turned on.
  • Requires someone to opt-in
  • Uses cell towers to correlate a location.
  • Able to serve digital ads to devices that went into the specified area.
  • Use in real time (no history)
Does FLUID offer mobile ad targeting?2021-01-04T21:08:07-05:00

  • Carrier– Verizon, Sprint, etc.

Do we need to provide lists for targeting?2020-08-21T20:21:35-04:00

No. FLUID’s technology allows us to build target lists from competitors or from previous attendance at previous events. These lists are built from the right people, at the right place, from ads received at the right time.

Can I use IP targeting with my direct mail marketing?2021-01-04T21:09:35-05:00

Yes. FLUID grabs IP addresses from anonymous visitors and uses our ECHO program to convert those IP addresses to a physical address. We are also able to convert your existing direct mailing list to an IP address and display ads on devices connected to that address.

In order to use this program, you must notify web visitors that their data is being collected and used in this way. If your current privacy policy does not do provide this notification, you will need to have your legal counsel update it. FLUID will suspend use of ECHO by all customers with inadequate privacy policies until the privacy policies are updated.

FLUID takes the visitor data from ECHO sites and serves ads only to the households matched with at least 95% confidence.

You can create custom demographics to target a more niche market.

You can target any size area or zip code within the United States.
